STUDIO FORMAT

In the studio format, you will work on problems in class. No direct points will be assigned to these, although class performance can affect borderline grades. Mini-quizzes of very short duration (5-10 minutes) will be given during some classes. Either a short class preparation assignment or a homework assignment will be due at most classes. The class preparation assignments will be based on the reading for the upcoming class. THE CLASS PREPARATION ASSIGNMENTS ARE DUE AT THE BEGINNING OF CLASS. These assignments are related to the material that will be covered in lecture the day they are due. Doing the reading and the assignment will prepare you to get the most out of the class. The homework assignments are longer and will be based on material covered in class before the assignment is due. Some suggestions on how to make the most of your studio-learning experience are being prepared. Watch for updates.
