Note that many of the lessons are also solved in the lecture slides, which have more extensive discussions than the solutions.
For many lessons, there are experimental components. Any time you can do the experiments with the Mobile Studio IOBoard, you should do so. Then repeat it with the more traditional and expensive instruments available in the class room. Finally, compare the two results and note differences and similarities.
Lectures: Very little time will be spent on lectures this summer, since our approach is mostly to learn by doing. From time-to-time, some lecturing will take place. However, it is much easier for everone to make progress if some time is spent outside of class learning some basics. Among the very best resources available for learning about Fields are the lectures posted on YouTube by Prof. Cindy Furse at the University of Utah. There are other good lectures, but hers are divided into short pieces (less than 5 minutes) so it is possible to view the materials on topics causing difficulty rather than watching all of them. I strongly recommend viewing her lectures at home and then working on class activities, including HW and Projects during regular class time, when help is available. The course she teaches is ECE 3300 and the website for this course has links to all of her materials.
