HAPPENINGS:

MST VENT
The vent is still scheduled for June 1, with diagnostics being removed
from the machine Sunday and Monday.

PRIMARY BEAMLINE TRANSITION CHAMBER
The primary beamline transition chamber is leak tight. The nose
section was modified by the machine shop without any problems.

HIGH VOLTAGE SHELF
The I-beams and C-channel wich make up the frame of the high-voltage shelf
are assembled. There are five sections which will be mounted individually
onto the wall and then tied together with one continuous C-channel along
the front. We will begin putting the sections onto the wall during
maintenance tomorrow morning. Final welding, installation of the deck
plates and painting will be done once it is on the wall. We will not be
able to accomplish all of this tomorrow since maintenance tomorrow is
sheduled to be a half day only. We will try to get as much as possible
done before the end of the week.

PRIMARY BEAMLINE SUPPORT STRUCTURE
I spoke with Tom last Thursday. The structure, as of then, was still only
conceptual. I have not seen Tom since. I spoke to Stewart, regarding the
issue, yesterday.

CHAMBERS IN STORAGE
The accelerator, analyzer, rough-pumps, gate valve, etc are sheduled to
arrive here at UW today.

LABORATORY SPACE
The new laboratory space here in Chamberlin Hall has been cleaned-out and
all of our equiptment moved from the lab in Sterling.

PRIMARY BEAMLINE/ACCELERATOR CONTROLLER
Lei has finished assembling the controller.

REYNOLDS (ROWE) CONNECTORS
Connector (cable assembly) to be shipped 6/4.
Receptacle to be shipped 6/23.
(Of course, this is just the latest estimate)

LABVIEW
The GPIB card, GPIB software and LabView software have all arrived and
been installed.

CAMAC MODULES
Camac modules - two LeCroy 6810 waveform recorders with memory and 2
Kinetic Systems 3116 DACs were received from Don Patterson.

SECONDARY PLASMA SUPPRESSION TEST RESULTS
Stay-tuned for a late breaking report from Uday and Lei.
