  17. HW5 The Excel File used to demonstrate transfer of data to Matlab is called square_blob.xls. The Matlab m-file is ExPlot.m If you cannot download the m-file directly, here is the text in a Word doc entitled Plotting Data from Excel.doc An additional file that is more like what you need to do for this problem is square_hole.xls and in a Word doc is Square Hole Plotting.doc to see the corresponding Matlab file.
  18. HW5 Solution An additional page has been added since this was first posted to provide additional details for the third problem.
  19. HW6 There is an Excel file for this assignment that contains magnetic field values determined using FEMM HW6_f09.xls Some small additions made to clarify dimensions. (2 Nov) For a few hours, this page reverted to an earlier version which did not include access to HW6. This is now fixed. (3 Nov)

  26. Quiz 3 Solution (The solution to problem 7d is missing an N. Self inductances should go as N 2 . Also, the B field values for the case with the magnetic material in the gap is written down backwards. The center leg flux density must be twice the right leg flux density. These values are written backwards in the solution.)
